The Business Integrity Events promoted by Transparency International Italy will be held at Sant’Anna School on June 13-14. Bringing together a network of national and regional businesses, the meeting will address anti-corruption practices, ethical standards, and the implementation of business integrity. Italian companies, government representatives and anti-corruption officials will discuss the risks of corruption, transparency and the culture of integrity.

Professor Sabina Nuti, Rector of Sant’Anna School, and Davide Del Monte, Director of Transparency International Italy, will welcome participants and stakeholders to attend workshops and conferences aimed to reflect the relevance of an enhanced transparency framework. On June 13, the debate will focus on Corporate Lobbying, Corporate Social Responsibility, anti-corruption policy measures, third party due diligence and whistleblowing.

On June 14, the Minister of Justice Alfonso Bonafede will give his speech on Ethics and Integrity in the private sector “Etica e integrità nel settore privato”.

“I am pleased we have the chance to discuss how we can strengthen cooperation between universities and businesses. We share challenges of ethical behavior in organizations, and there is no doubt that medium and small-sized Italian companies will adapt their systems to meet the needs of the culture of integrity”, said Virginio Carnevali, President of Transparency International Italy.

“The Business Integrity Events promoted by Transparency International Italy at Sant’Anna School aim to increase awareness and promote business integrity. Sant’Anna confirmed its strong commitment to the advancement of the anti-corruption agenda bringing together the private sector, governments, and civil society to consider best-practices for coordinated response”, said Rector Sabina Nuti. “Higher education has been confronted with increasing involvement in third mission activities. Sant’Anna School has played a major role as a producer of knowledge at the national level and has contributed to sharing strong values also promoting public-private partnerships. Public and private collaborations are expected to enhance social mobility and provide quality research in the overall development strategy to improve economic growth and education. We aim to create a wider societal value added and a greater insight into the third mission activity and its interrelation with the evolving idea of a university”.

“The Business Integrity Events at Sant’Anna School can provide a more effective focus to the integrity system to strengthen anti-corruption policy measures in advancing collective action efforts across the private and the public sector”, said Sant’Anna School Criminal Law Professor Gaetana Morgante, as the scientific coordinator.

“Researchers of the Dirpolis Institute at Sant’Anna School are working on a project named ‘Governance for inclusive societies’. We address policy dialogue and private-public cooperation for law enforcement through mutual assistance and the adoption of robust legal and institutional frameworks against corruption and bribery”, added Morgante.
